Two towers, five stars
Two towers will house five-star luxury when the Gold Coast's newest hotel opens in September. Mantra Group today announced it would manage the $850 million Peppers Broadbeach development. Peppers Broadbeach would be the Gold Coast's first new five-star hotel in a decade, after the Palazzo Versace at Main Beach opened in 2000. The hotel, developed by Niecon Developments, will provide 505 one, two and three-bedroom apartments. Gold Coast Tourism spokesman Ben Pole said the new hotel would further enhance the Glitter Strip's tourism reputation. "The Palazzo Versace absolutely raised the profile of the Gold Coast luxury offering," he said. "Having another five-star resort in the middle of the Gold Coast will only take that reputation further." Read more
